The 2nd Annual Blue Jean Ball
A Celebration of Community & Compassion
On May 1, 2025, Hickory Top Farm hosted its 2nd Annual Blue Jean Ball, a meaningful evening dedicated to supporting equine‑assisted health and wellness programs at the farm.
Guests were treated to an old‑fashioned pig picking, with a live soundtrack provided by the Piney Branch Bluegrass Band — keeping toes tapping under a beautiful Carolina sunset.
Executive Director, Amanda Malanuk, shared updates on the farm’s growth—from expanding programs, to deepening our connections with the community.
It was a beautifully genuine evening reminding all in attendance why this work matters: building confidence, fostering resilience, and enhancing overall well‑being through the transformative power of the horse‑human bond.
Thank you to everyone who donned their denim, showed up in support, and helped propel our mission forward. We can’t wait to build on this momentum as we continue growing our equine‑assisted programming at Hickory Top Farm. We would like to extend a special thank you to Richland County Councilman Don Weaver, for his gracious support of this event, and the Richland County Hospitality Tax Grant which helped make this possible.
